EEEP abandons dusty Planet Fuzzball on a quest for a new and truly home, but a shocking disaster becomes his surprise happy ending.
The story is inspired in part by the beautiful Rubén Blades song Pedro Navada, with refrain, "La vida te da sorpresas, sorpresas te da la vida” - Life gives you surprises, surprises give you life. It is intended to help a child accept that an event that is less than their first choice can turn out well -especially a move to a new school or town - an experience I have had many times myself!
The illustrations are from hand painted paper, cut an glued. I did most of the collage work while on a working retreat in Taxco, Mexico.
